Romy Christie has been a permanent resident of Japan for many years and has done and is still doing much volunteer work for society in Japan. Including English she speaks five languages and studies philosophy and psychology and comparative religion which is a great asset in her counselling in her Sanctuary. Amongst the people who come to her are from Japan as well as many other nationalities.
Her parents, after her father retired owned a renowned school of English in Azabudai, using the syllabus set by King’s College Cambridge University in England. She is also the fifth generation grand-daughter of the famous composer Felix Mendelssohn, who composed the famous “Wedding March” and she has an inherited great love for music.
